"As a former State Farm sales agent of three years, I feel compelled to share my experience with this agency. Even after leaving another State Farm agency as an employee, I chose to keep both my auto and life policies with this specific State Farm agent, out of loyalty. That decision turned out to be a mistake. There has been multiple issues with this agency that I have chose to overlook. Each time the explanation of a “slow system” has been used as a reason for the lack of a follow-up call or email. Unfortunately, I’m not convinced by that reasoning. I recently requested to cancel my auto policy at renewal after receiving a significantly higher quote due to an address change. Despite my clear cancellation request, the agency processed the address change but failed to cancel the policy, resulting in a surprise bill. Completely unacceptable. If you’re reading all the glowing 5-star reviews, take note. Most of them are from brand-new clients who haven’t experienced what comes after the honeymoon phase. Give it time. I’ve seen it all, many of those same clients will be back leaving the same kind of review I’m writing now. There’s a reason I left State Farm. As both an employee and now as a customer, I’ve seen how poorly people are treated. The service, the support, the ethics, it all fell short. What’s worse is that I know exactly how this business works, 7 years of it as of present. Highly recommend searching for genuine service at a brokerage where agents will give you their best service at all times (not just at the beginning, during the sale, to win your trust like these captive agencies are so good at). And after that, renewals will not roll around, and you’re not just another name on a spreadsheet. Lily, feel free to respond to save face, though the damage has already been done. Update response— ANY PERSON LICENSED TO SELL and PROVIDE P&C INSURANCE IS KNOWN AS AN INSURANCE AGENT. THAT RESPONSE SHOULD BE THE LEAST OF YOUR WORRIES."
